Day 1: First Impressions of Sydney

Time travel

Arrival in Sydney

We arrived at Sydney International Airport in the morning, greeted by the vibrant energy of the city. At the airport, I whispered to my girlfriend, “New Zealand’s natural beauty and Australia’s urban charm make a perfect combination. We must visit New Zealand together in the future!” She smiled and nodded, both of us excited for the surprises that awaited us on this trip.

Staying at a Central Sydney Guesthouse

We had booked a guesthouse located in the heart of Sydney on Booking.com in advance. The price was approximately 150 AUD per night, and its location was extremely convenient. The room was cozy and comfortable, and the sunlight streaming in from the window lifted our moods.

Circular Quay and Sydney Opera House

We strolled through Circular Quay, admiring the stunning views of the Sydney Opera House and the Harbour Bridge. As we took pictures to capture the moment, a gust of wind suddenly blew by and my girlfriend’s hat flew off and into the sea. We had to go down to the water and retrieve her hat ourselves. This added a bit of fun to our trip.

Sydney Tower Revolving Restaurant

At night, we dined at the Sydney Tower Revolving Restaurant. Located on the top floor of the Sydney Tower, the restaurant offered an elegant atmosphere with breathtaking views of the entire Sydney cityscape. Though a bit expensive at around 100 AUD per person, it was well worth the cost for the experience and quality of the food.
